The economic oppression of Baha’is in Iran
The Baha’i International Community has released a new report on the economic oppression that Baha’is living in Iran are exposed to and that the government itself promotes.
Since 2007, the Baha’i International Community has documented at least 780 incidents on economic persecution of the Baha’is of Iran, the equivalent of two every week for the past eight years. And these are only the cases that have been documented, given the difficulty of obtaining accurate information on the violation of human rights in Iran, the number could be much higher.
The document consists of 65 pages, including concrete examples of the way in which the Baha’i community in Iran is being oppressed.
